Dear Friends:
All of us at The Rural Haiti Project, along with our friends and families in Haiti are immensely grateful and awed by the tremendous show of support and compassion that the people of the United States and abroad have shown through their monetary donations and messages of love and support during this extremely painful and tragic event. We truly hope that aid and relief can reach as many Haitians as possible, all over Haiti, as quickly as possible and we are working tirelessly to see that needs of the rural communities we work in are met.
We would like to continue to encourage people from all over the world to keep supporting the relief efforts in Haiti and what we hope will eventually transform into a rebuilding and the start of a new and changed era of progressive sustainable development for Haiti. We have a long and arduous road ahead, however, by working hand in hand, on a national and international level, we will most likely succeed. Please feel free to contact us at 347-405-5552 or email us at info@ruralhaitiproject.org.
In view of the massive international relief effort that is underway, as a volunteer grassroots organization that focuses on rural areas of Haiti, our goals are (1) in the immediate is to help complement this larger relief effort by helping to assist rural communities which have traditionally lacked access to resources and thus far, have received little to no aid, (2) build capacity and implement long-term sustainable development projects and (3) continue the leadership work we have traditionally conducted with children. Please see our Pojects page for more details. We will post updates on our Blog page as frequently as possible. Please check our site for updates in the upcoming days.
